Dwayne Wade has a new book which was written to inspire and motivate fathers. Dwayne discusses his journey as a single father who manages to balance a flourishing career with obligations at home. Readers will learn of the Miami ‘Heat’ players initial reaction when sole custody was awarded to him, and how he copes with NBA life and parenthood. Various coaches and mentors who have positively impacted Wade are also featured in the memoir, and the basketball player touches on his own childhood experience of growing up in a single parent home.
Wade has served on several committees that encourage fathers to be involved in their children’s lives since becoming a single dad last year. The Miami ‘Heat’ player is currently raising his two sons and nephew.

Rihanna Kisses Chris Brown at 2012 MTV VMA Awards

Rihanna and Chris Brown may have shared more than victories at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on September 6. Both entertainers were photographed kissing at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards more than likely when they didn’t think anyone was watching. Rihanna won the Video of the Year award and Chris Brown won for Best Male Video.  It is highly unlikely that it was a romantic kiss but probably more of a greeting, since Chris Brown is still supposedly dating Karrueche Tran. Rihanna has been posting a lot of cryptic tweets seemingly about moving on. Rumors about the pair had been relatively quiet as of late, save for Rihanna’s interview on ‘Oprah: The Next Chapter’ in which she revealed she still loves Brown and a rumored rendezvous in St. Tropez that Brown denied. Brown himself has been keeping a pretty low profile following the nightclub brawl between his crew and Drake‘s crew. Most recently, Rihanna’s been linked with Rob Kardashian, who was dating Rita Ora. Considering the controversy that erupted when the pair collaborated on Rihanna’s ‘Birthday Cake’ and Brown’s ‘Turn Up the Music’ remixes, we can only imagine what would happen if they were to publicly reunite as a couple.

Actor Michael Clarke Duncan dies at 54

Actor Michael Clarke Duncan, nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the 1999 drama “The Green Mile,” died in a hospital on Monday, at 54 years of age. Duncan had a heart attack on July 13 and never fully recovered. He worked as a bodyguard and bouncer and played a few roles of that kind in film and television, before landing a small part in the 1998 movie “Armageddon.” That led to a much larger role in the 1999 prison drama “The Green Mile” with Tom Hanks. He had roles in the 2002 film “The Scorpion King,” the 2003 comic book movie “Daredevil” and 2005 release “Sin City.” He also did voice work for the 2008 animated film “Kung Fu Panda.” He starred this year in several episodes of the Fox crime drama “The Finder.”

According to TMZ Michael Clarke Duncan was without oxygen during his heart attack which damaged his organs so badly he could never recover. On July 13 the actor went without oxygen for more than 5 minutes before Omarosa was able to re-start his heart with CPR. Sources told TMZ that Duncan's decline was slow but steady. First it was a kidney problem, then the pancreas, then extremely high blood pressure, and so on, until his body just shut down. It was especially hard on Michael's fiancee, Omarosa, according to TMZ, she is inconsolable.

Omarosa Manigault, 38, is best known for her appearances on NBC reality show “The Apprentice.” More recently, she studied Christian theology and became a minister. The public viewing of the “Green Mile” star’s casket will take place Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hall of Liberty, which is located at the Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks and Mortuaries in Hollywood Hills. A private, invitation-only service will be held the following day.

Miami Heat are 2012 NBA Champions

Lebron James Holding the NBA Title
The Miami Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 to win the 2012 NBA championship 4-1. The Heat won 4 consecutive games to win the series after losing the first game in Oklahoma.  The league and finals MVP LeBron James led an outstanding team effort with his usual all round performance, getting a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and a game-high 13 assists.

The Miami heat had 6 players scoring double figures including including Chris Bosh with 24 and the unlikely of sources Mike Miller with 23, who went 7-of-8 from beyond the three-point arc in a spectacular shooting display for the Heat. Once again one of the supporting players really stepped up for Miami and this title was a real team effort. Before it was Battier with his 3 pointers, the it was Mario Chalmers and now it is Mike Miller.

This is the third time in the final for the 3 time League MVP and it seems like the third time is the charm as he has finally gotten that elusive first title. Now that the first title is out of the way, the question now is, can LeBron and the heat start a basketball dynasty similar to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls? If this does happen, will he be considered the best basketball player ever?

N.J Gov. will fly flags at half-staff for Whitney Houston

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will have flags flown at half-staff Saturday for Whitney Houston, despite receiving strong criticism. Christie ordered flags flown at half-staff at state government buildings on Saturday, the day funeral services are held for Houston at Newark's New Hope Baptist Church, where she sang as a child. Christie defended his position by saying Houston deserves the honor because of her huge cultural impact and as "a daughter of New Jersey."

The cause of Houston's death at a Beverly Hills hotel has not been determined, and the results of toxicology tests are pending. Investigators found several bottles of prescription medication in the hotel room where she died Saturday. .

The funeral is expected to be made available for television and web streaming from the New Jersey church where she grew up. Publicists and entertainers by Wednesday had confirmed nearly a dozen celebrities and personalities will be in some of the 1,500 coveted, "invitation-only" seats.
Gospel singer and pastor Marvin L. Winans, a longtime friend of the Houston family, will give the eulogy at New Hope Baptist Church. Winans officiated at Houston's 1992 marriage to R&B singer Bobby Brown.

Whitney Houston has re-entered music charts on Wednesday with a greatest hits album that raced into the top 10 of the U.S. Billboard 200, as fans of Houston rushed to rediscover the singer's music. Single digital track sales of the artist's music rose to more than 887,000 song downloads in 24 hours.
The biggest selling digital song was Houston's signature ballad "I Will Always Love You" with more than 195,000 copies downloaded, fueled by Jennifer Hudson's emotional rendition of the song in tribute to Houston at Sunday's Grammy awards. The sales surge in Houston's music is likely to continue through the week, ahead of the singer's funeral on Saturday.
